AFRICA

Africa has taken me by surprise. After having decided to focus purely on the far north a chance meeting brought me to film a documentary in Ghana. Together with a good friend I traveled north to Mole Nationla Park where I had my first real African wildlife encounter. Standing on the ground in a small forest, a large bull elephant decided to walk straight up to my camera to see what kind of creature I was. He was pretty calm and my pulse was racing with a mix of joy and excitement. The local ranger asked me to move slowly away from him, but I did not want to leave. This very pure and personal encounter lodged itself in my heart and Africa is now with me forever.
